Manufacturers seeking reps also place lines listings with NMRA. This shows what they produce and in what territories they need representation. These lines listings are available at major industry shows, and as special periodic mailings done to all full members.

Member Directory:
When Manufacturers seek additional representation, they frequently turn to the NMRA Directory as a source for reputable, highly qualified reps. The directory is given to all Affiliate members annually. As a member, your agency will be listed alphabetically and by territory, along with information on the lines you represent.

Newsletter:
The NMRA newsletter, "Tidings", contains articles written to help you develop sound and profitable relationships with your principals.

Information Resource:
NMRA acts as a clearinghouse for information you need to run your business. Through the headquarters, you can find out what works for other marine reps . . . things like health insurance, rep software and long distance services.

Marketing Services:
A public relations program is in place to keep NMRA events in the news and promote the association's benefits to the marine industry. As a full member, you can also utilize a special individual public relations program to create press releases and promote your company news to the marine trade media.

Legal Services:
A special relationship with the firm Schoenberg, Fisher, Newman & Rosenberg, Ltd. gives member sales reps free telephone consultation on the legal aspects of your business. This firm specializes in working with sales reps, and can also handle any legal matter facing your firm.

Idea Exchange:
NMRA members have regular opportunities to exchange ideas with other professional representatives with similar goals and challenges. These exchanges help you develop your business and make it more successful.

E-Mail Discussion Group:
One such forum for exchanging ideas is the e-mail discussion group. This "round robin" service lets you ask questions of or share ideas with other NMRA member reps - in a format that produces immediate results. Available only to NMRA Full and Associate members.
